We have withdrawn the self-serve subscription tiers for Housecarl AuthZ. AuthZ is now sold directly, as an on-prem license, to platform teams who run it behind their own products.
What changes:
-
No self-serve checkout and no subscription billing. The pricing page has been replaced by Get AuthZ, which describes the engagement: evaluate, talk to us, deploy.
-
Licensing terms — scope, support, price — are set per engagement, in writing. Correspond with sales@housecarl.cloud or directly with paul@upside-down-research.com.
What does not change:
-
The hosted demo environment remains open. Signup continues to work, and evaluation accounts remain free.
-
The service, the documentation, the APIs, and the
housectlCLI are unchanged. AuthZ remains operated in production and maintained, with security fixes first.
Within the Housecarl family, Arbiter is the flagship. AuthZ continues as a supporting product in the portfolio: present, maintained, and sold — just not the headline.
